to provide the most nutrient-dense produce to the neediest populations in our community
to educate people on organic farming while pursuing sustainable practices
to cultivate a community of engaged urban farmers
Wunderfarms is a collection of 4 community supported and organically grown gardens in the St. Petersburg area founded and managed by Ray Wunderlich, a third generation native of St. Petersburg.
The original farm founded by Ray in 2011 is located at the Pioneer Settlement in Boyd Hill Preserve. In 2015, over 4000 pounds of produce from Pioneer Garden were donated to local charities. In 2016, the garden donated over 3400 pounds to these charities.
“Wunderfarms will connect the community to organic food.”

If you live near one of our gardens, get involved to receive portions of each harvest. We accept volunteers regardless of skill level. There is a rotation in roles, but we’ll teach you all the skills you need to know. Teenagers 14 years and older can earn community service credits for school in addition to getting produce for their families. Donations are also vital to our growth, as we use them for seed, fertilizer, tools, and outreach.
